Faith Ax
1906 - 1930
- Faith Ax Passed Away Tuesday
Funeral For Faith Ax Held This Afternoon
Faith Ax, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ax, was born on the 27th day of
November, in the year of our Lord 1906. She was baptized by Rev. John Gartermann,
pastor of the Elltown Reformed Church. During her childhood days she attended
the public school of her home district, and the Church schools in the Reformed
Church. After completing the public school course, she attended the Klemme High
School, graduating with the class of 1925. In school she proved herself a
faithful and diligent student and as such she was respected by both instructors
and fellow students.
She was not permitted to make use of her talents, however, as she had hoped,
because of delicate health. She remained with her parents until about three
years ago, when she suffered a nervous breakdown and it became necessary to take
her to a hospital.
A few weeks ago the parents were notified that her condition was very serious,
and Mr. Ax accompanied by Dr. Geo. Zinn brought her back home January 2. The
parents were glad to have their daughter under their own care even though it was
to be only for a few days. God called her to the Eternal Home Tuesday morning,
January 7th at 1:30 o'clock, at the age of 23 years, 1 mo. and 10 days. During
the last day her mind became perfectly clear, enabling her to carry on a
conservation with her parents and brother.
Surviving her and mourning her death are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ax,
and one brother, Richard, and many other relatives and friends.
During the noon hour the Klemme High School students were given the privilege of
viewing the remains.
Funeral services were held at the Klemme Reformed Church Thursday afternoon at
1:30 o'clock, with Rev Grosshuesch in charge. Burial was made at the Klemme
Cemetery. The following Liberty boys, neighbors, acted as pall bearers: Glenn
Lang, Kenneth Gast, Glenn Terhufen, Carl Carlson, Fred Pringnitz, and Burnette
Haefner.
The floral tribute was both large and beautiful and expressed the sympathy of
the entire community which goes out to the bereaved parents and brother at this
time.
