Roger Blickenderfer

Nora Springs - Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Charles City, for Roger A. Blickenderfer, 52, of Nora Springs, who died Tuesday (June 4, 1985) at Brownwood, Texas.

Mr. Blickenderfer had been employed with Briggs Transportation Co., Mason City, for 17 years and had been employed by Midwest Drivers Inc., out of Minneapolis, Minn., for the past two years.

He was born Jan. 2, 1933 in Klemme to William "Arley" and Agnes (Christie) Blickenderfer. He attended schools in Klemme, LeRoy, Minn., and Elma and served in the U.S. Army from 1953-55. He married Catherine Tobin on Aug. 3, 1957 in Charles City.

Mr. Blickenderfer was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mason City, the Nora Springs Catholic Community Center, Teamsters Union Local 828, Mason City, and the American Legion Post 449, Nora Springs.

The Rev. Roger Rethamel will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Charles City, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 449, Nora Springs.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Friday at Hogan-Bremer-Sheckler Colonial Chapel, Nora Springs, where a Scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine; one daughter, Mrs. Steve (Lori) Mathre, Mason City; three sons, Michael, Mason City, and Steven and Dennis, both of Nora Springs; five grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Zobel, Glenville, Minn., and Betty Mikulich, Las Vegas, Nev.; and one brother, Homer, Charles City.
