Kenneth A. Busch

Mason City - Kenneth A. Busch, 81, of 240 20th St. S.E., died Monday (Nov. 27, 2000) at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Paul Finger officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until time of services on Friday at Major Erickson Funeral Home.

Memorial may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Kenneth was born Aug. 24, 1919, in Klemme, the son of Carl F. and Addie (Schuldt) Busch. Ken graduated from Mason City High School in 1938.

He married Esther E. Nygren on March 22, 1942, in Mason City. They moved to Davenport in 1942, then returned to Mason City in 1954. Ken was manager at Diamond Vogel Decorating Center for 15 years, retiring in 1981.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Ken is survived by a son, Douglas A. Busch and his wife, Julie, of Iowa City; two grandchildren, Amy Busch of San Francisco, Calif., and Andrew Busch, of Iowa City; two nephews, John C. Busch, of Clear Lake and Craig Busch, of Ventura; a niece, Pricilla Mayland, of Clear Lake; and a sister-in-law, Minnie Busch, of Ventura.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Esther; four brothers; and one sister.
