Mrs. Merle Neimeyer
Mrs. Marie Neimeyer, 69, a former Kamrar resident, died Monday evening at
Osceola after a long illness.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion United Church of
Christ in Garner with burial at the Graceland cemetery in Webster City.
Marie Carson, daughter of George and Betsy Bergman Carson, was born March
24, 1910 at Kamrar.
In 1932, she was married to Wilbur Neimeyer of Garner where they made their
home, but she had resided at Osceola the last two years.
She attended the Kamrar school for 10 years and was graduated from Klemme
High School. She later attended college at Cedar Falls and was graduated
from Drake University.
She was a teacher in the Forest City and Garner school systems for 36 years.
She is survived by one son, Robert of Woodburne, Iowa; one grandson, Jon of
Boone; three brothers, Harris Carson of Holmes, Wis., Don Carson of
Parkersburg and Marion Carson of Newport News, Va., also two sisters, Mrs.
Al (Doris) Hackley of Sunnyvale, Calif. and Mrs. Roy (Alyce) Bottorff of
Webster City.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and one sister,
Dorothy.
She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and also the Order of
Eastern Star.
