Peggy L. Clark 1929 - 2009
Peggy L. Clark, 79, passed away on
Monday, June 15, 2009, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral
services were held on Friday, June 19, at the New Hope United Methodist Church
in Des Moines. Burial was in the Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial
contributions may be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church in memory of
Peggy. In college Peggy joined a sorority that continues to get together monthly for lunch. She worked at the Air National Guard for several years and was a homemaker after that. Peggy enjoyed playing golf and playing cards. Her other hobbies included cross-stitch, knitting and ceramics. She took great pleasure in making and sharing her creations with family and friends. During their 60 years of marriage,
Peggy and Walt traveled to many different places and made many friends. Peggy
loved entertaining her many friends and family members at her home, which she
would decorate for all occasions. She was preceded in death by her
parents, Ben and Leafy Coobs, and her brother, Melvin Coobs. source: Garner Leader & Signal, 8 Jul 2009

When Eunice died the 5 Mar 1931 at Flint Michigan, Peggy, age 16 months, and her sister Patricia, age 4 years, came to Klemme in April 1931 to live with their Aunt Leafy Coobs and Aunt Lurley Buss. Peggy adopted the Coobs name.]
