- Alvin D. Depping, 81, of Calvin Community, 4210
Hickman Road, died of a heart ailment there Thursday. Services will be at
11 a.m. Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, of which he was a
member. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.
Mr. Depping was born in Berne, Minn., and lived in Des Moines since 1946.
He was a retired salesman with Bankers Life and Casualty CO., a World War
II Army veteran and a Kiwanis member.
He is survived by a son, Stephen of Des Moines; and two grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Westover Funeral
Home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
