Della Leona Kaduce Magarrell

1923 - 1996

Klemme, IA -- Della Leona (Kaduce) Magarrell, the daughter of John and Nellie (Suntken) Kaduce, was born Jan. 23, 1923 at Alexander. She is a past member of the Peace Reformed Church in Garner, and of the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme. She grew up in the Klemme area, and graduated from Klemme High School. She moved to McMinnville, Ore. in the 1950s, moved to Millersburg in July of 1976, and was united in marriage to George J. Magarrell on Jan. 30, 1976 in Marcolla, Ore. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting, crocheting, and knitting. Della died at her home in Albany, Ore. on Saturday (June 22, 1996).

She is survived by a son, Ivan D. Katter of Bend, Ore.; daughters, VaLayn M. Sanders of Bend, Ore., and VaLynda D. Hoagan of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; step-children, Randall Magarrell of Salem, Ore., and Marsha Lincoln of Corvallis, Ore.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, John Kaduce and Leonard Kaduce, both of Klemme.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ted Kaduce; and sister, Velma Lau.

Funeral services were held in Albany, Ore. on Saturday (June 29, 1996) at 2 p.m. at the Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Huff officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme with Pastor Georgia White-Kisslring of the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme, officiating. There will not be a visitation, but the family invites all friends and relatives to gather at the cemetery prior to the service. Casket bearers will be her nephews.
