Neil A. Mannetter
1937 - 1997
- Neil A. Mannetter, 59, formerly of Plover, died
Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1997, at his home in the Price County town of
Worcester.
A private family memorial service was held. The Heindl Funeral Home,
Phillips, was in charge of arrangements.
Born Aug. 31, 1937, in Decorah, Iowa, he was a son of Otto and Gladys (Gelhaus)
Mannetter. He spent his childhood in Ohio, later moving with his family to
Waukesha, where he graduated with the class of 1955 at Waukesha High
School. He attended Marquette University, Milwaukee.
On Jan. 12, 1957, in Hales Corners, he was married to Arlene Hoffmann. She
survives.
Mr. Mannetter served with the U.S. Army. He then was employed with Sentry
Insurance as a cost accountant for more than 27 years. He retired in
December 1996.
In May he and his wife moved to the town of Worcester.
He enjoyed the outdoors and reading.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Dr. Terrence (Jane),
Oshkosh, and Dr. Drew (Sara), Lakeside; a daughter, Lonni Jo (Jerry)
Morris, Green Bay; three brothers, Kenly, St. Paul, Minn., Vance (Jean),
Verona, and Ray (Linda), Abbotsford; and two grandchildren.

Neil A. Mannetter, 59, Worcester, formerly of Plover, who died Wednesday,
was born Aug. 31, 1937, in Eldora, Iowa, and spent his
childhood in Iowa. An incorrect birth place and childhood location was
listed in an obituary in Friday's Journal.
