Public visitation for Doug will be Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 3-5 PM at the Andrews Funeral Home, 528 East Main Street, Klemme. There will be a brief service and time of memories sharing at 4 PM at the funeral home Tuesday and then after the visitation and services conclude there will be a public time of gathering with refreshments and a light meal and continued time to Celebrate the memory of Doug's Life at Mat's Place in Garner, IA.

Douglas Joe Pannhoff, the son of Kenneth and Frances (Otto) Pannhoff, was born May 23, 1965, at Britt, IA. In the younger years of his life he was active in the Klemme Cub Scouts pack. He attended Klemme Community Schools graduating from Klemme High School in the Class of 1984. Doug loved a wide variety of sports throughout his entire life. He played football and basketball in high school.

Following his school Doug was employed initially for Triggs before eventually working for Korbert, inc. in Klemme for many years. His last employment was with Cargill in Mason City, prior to various health issues forcing him to retire from working.

Doug was united in marriage to Tracie L. Reysack on August 10, 1991, at the Immanuel Reformed UCC Church in Klemme. The couple's union brought two daughters into the world Telsie Lu and Brittney Back. The two girls were precious in the eyes of Doug and Tracie. They along with Tracie gave Doug great satisfaction throughout the years as he wore the title of being a family man.

Doug and Tracie enjoyed going on family camping outings around the region at couple of their favorite destinations included Marble Rock (Camp Comfort) and Indian Lake, Goodell, IA. He and Tracie truly loved the simple things in life spending time with family, hanging out with friends, attending and supporting their daughters' various activities, making a trek to an area body of water to do some fishing, an occasional trip to the casino to play slots, a friendly card game of nickel poker or just taking a cruise out to Indian Lake to relax. Doug loved the excitement and rush of sitting under the wheel of one of numerous demolition derby vehicles he had owned and driven over the years in competitions at regional tracks including the Hancock County Speedway, Mason City, Belmond, and Nashua. He had won many awards at these events over the years. If he wasn't competing Doug looked forward to helping others work on their cars, attending dirt track races and various other events at the county fairs. His favorite Nascar drive was Jeff Gordon, he loved the Hawkeyes and was a die-hard Vikings fan. His musical tastes leaned towards 80's-90's country with a few of his favorite artists being Aaron Tippin, Gary Allen, Alan Jackson, and Garth Brooks. The family had not done a lot of traveling over the years, but a couple of trips that were truly enjoyed included Laughlin and an excursion to a Chicago Cubs game.

For the last several years Doug has dealt with a variety of health complications making it a challenge to do a lot, but he truly appreciated the love and care given by his wife Tracie prior to her unexpected passing this past November, as well as the support and care shared by his daughters and son-in-laws, and Rhonda and Jeff Smith, and various other family members and friends.

Memorials and expressions of sympathy may be directed in care of Doug's Family %Brittney Back, 801 North 12th Street, Clear Lake, IA 50428.

Doug's memory will carry forward in the lives of his daughters: Telsie Lu (Kevin) Lu and Brittney (Dakota) Back, and their children: Daren, Jayde, and Desmond, all of Clear Lake, IA; brother James Pannhoff, Forest City, IA, sisters Patricia Harley, Sheffield, IA, and Sharon Huff, Britt, IA, and brother Alan Pannhoff, Algona, IA; several in laws, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his father Kenneth Pannhoff July 1, 2005, and his mother Frances Pannhoff June 3, 2005, his wife Tracie Linn November 26, 2024, brother Larry Pannhoff, sister Jean Pannhoff, and a niece Victoria Para-Lerdo.
