- Mary Ann Clark passed away peacefully at the
beautiful age of 90 on August 7th, 2024 at the Hancock County Memorial
Hospital.
Funeral services for Mary will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 19,
2024, at the United Methodist Church in Forest City, IA, with Pastor Les
Green officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service
at the church.
Interment for Mary will be held at Elmwood-St. Joseph Municipal Cemetery
in Mason City, IA.
Mary was born on November 7th, 1933 on the family farm in Klemme, IA to
parents John and Annie (Heginger) Pannhoff.
Mary graduated from Klemme High School in 1952. After graduation she
worked for Northwest Bell Telephone Company in Garner and Mason City, IA.
She wed Loren Clark in 1955 and together they had 5 children - Curly
(Jamie) Clark, Sandra (Jack) Caputa, Steve Clark, Lori Rayhons, Chuck
Clark. She was a proud grandma and great grandma to 7 grandchildren
(Ashley, Danielle, Alisa, Brian, Chris, Andrew, and Jonathan) and 8
great-grandchildren (Cutler, Brixton, Knox, Jack, Max, Onyx, Corbin, and
Eleanor).
In 1968 Loren and Mary relocated their family to Red Wing, MN for a job
opportunity and raised their family there. While in Red Wing Mary worked
for the Red Wing Shoe Factory and proudly retired after 25 years of
service in 1996. After retirement she moved back to Forest City, IA to be
closer to family.
In 2002, Mary married Curtis Clark in Forest City, IA and they spent 10
years happily laughing together until he passed way in 2012.
Mary was a proud member of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed
participating in the Rachel Circle.
Some of Mary’s favorite hobbies were: her flower gardens, dancing,
bowling, gambling, bird watching, her family and spending time with her
beloved dogs – especially her Charlie.
She is preceded in death by her parents (John and Annie Pannhoff),
siblings (Arelene Lovick (Roy), Kenny (Fran) Pannhoff, Dean (Bealah)
Pannhoff, Merle (Ruth) Pannhoff, Raymond Pannhoff, Lyle (Marlene) Pannhoff),
husbands (Loren Clark Curtis Clark), and granddaughter (Ashley Rayhons),
and her beloved dog, Charlie.
Mary was incredibly loved and will be incredibly missed by all those her
life touched.
