Carl N. Pearson, age 84, of Klemme, IA, died, Tuesday, January 23, 2018,
at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient, Mason City, Iowa, following a courageous
battle with cancer.

- Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Monday,
February 5, 2018, at Immanuel Reformed UCC Church, Klemme. Interment with
full military honors will be in the Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 4th from 3-5 p.m. at Andrews Funeral
Homes in Klemme, Iowa, and continues one hour prior to the services at
church Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice House
of North Iowa, or the donor's choice.
Carl N. Pearson, son of Carl E. and Lillie (Bates) Pearson, was born 4
miles east of Hwy 69 rural Britt, IA, on March 17, 1933. he attended rural
country school for a short time and later Klemme Community School where he
graduated May of 1951. Carl was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel
Reformed UCC Church in Klemme.
He was united in marriage to Deloris Karsjens on August 15, 1952. The
couple farmed east of Klemme where they raised three children, Kevin,
Kirk, and Julie.
Carl served in the Army and was stationed in Germany from 1954-1956.
Carl was a strong believer in serving his community and church. He served
on the Klemme Community School Board for 12 years, 9 of which he served as
Board President. he presented all 3 of his children with their high school
diplomas.
Also, over the years, Carl served on the Immanuel Reformed UCC Consistory
and the Sunday School Board.
Carl also took an interest in local government. He was an Avery Township
Trustee and also was on the Klemme City Council.
Carl is survived by his wife of 65 years, Deloris Pearson; sons, Kevin
Pearson, Kirk (Sandy) Pearson; daughter, Julie (Mike) Zweck;
grandchildren, Nicole Pearson, Amy (Nate) Bluhm, Melissa Pearson, Jennifer
(Fiancé, Chuck Covell) Pearson. Chris (Tori) Schulz, Deanna (Joe)
Chrisman, and Devon Schulz; and 4 great-grandchildren, Nolan Bluhm, Ella
Bluhm, Harper Chrisman, and Piper Chrisman.
Preceding him death were his parents, Carl E. and Lillie Pearson;
brothers, Frances Pearson, Herbert Pearson, and Melvin Pearson; sister,
Lydia Pearson; daughter-in-law, Debra (Crowley) Pearson; and grandson,
Jamie Pearson.
