Services for Robert J. Schoenwetter, 39, Klemme, who died Saturday, June 11,
1994, at his home, were held Tuesday, June 14, 1:30 p.m., at the United
Methodist Church in Klemme with Rev. Jerry Robertson officiating.
Music was provided by Margaret Tue, organist, and John Krug, vocalist.
Casket bearers were Lance Arnold, Bob Hagen, Steve Denny, Dorian Goll, Fred
Schroeder and Keith Barkema.
Burial was at the Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme, with Tenold Funeral Homes in
charge of arrangements.
Robert James Schoenwetter, the son of Milvern and Ethel (Hollatz) Schoenwetter,
was born May 28, 1955 at Belmond. He was baptized at the Liberty Methodist
Church. He graduated from Klemme High School in 1973, attended Iowa State
University and farmed with his brother west of Klemme.
November 11, 1989, he married Melissa Justice.
Robert was a member of the United Methodist Church in Klemme, served on the
administrative council. He was active in bowling, golf, coached summer baseball,
and was Swine Superintendent for the Hancock County Fair. He enjoyed fishing,
skiing, and most of all being with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa; mother, Ethel Schoenwetter; sister, Joan
and her husband, Calvin Bruggeman of Klemme; brother, David Schoenwetter and his
wife, Diane of rural Garner; his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Mona Justice
of Ankeny; sister-in-law, Mary Beth Overton; brothers-in-law, Steve and
Katherine Justice; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milvern.
