Services for Mrs. Lee (Elvira) Anderson, 70, a resident of 605 N. Joslin
St., who died Tuesday afternoon while enroute to a Rochester, Minn.
hospital, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity United Methodist
Church. Dr. J. Ellis Webb will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside
Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home after 10:30 a.m.
Friday and at the Church after 9 a.m. Saturday.
Elvira Irene Stille Anderson was born Sept. 26, 1908 at Klemme, the
daughter of William and Sarah Koerner Stille. She graduated from Klemme
High School and attended Long Beach State College and Iowa State Teachers
College at Cedar Falls.
On June 6, 1934, she and Lee L. Anderson were married at Klemme. Prior to
her marriage she taught school at Floyd. She was a member of the Trinity
United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and Grace Circle of
that Church, was a member of the Charles City Women's Club, the Pythian
Sisters and was past Chief of the Pythian Sisters.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. James (Linda) Haley of El Toro, Calif.; and
a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Connie Anderson of Ashland, New Hampshire. There
are three grandsons and one granddaughter.
