The museum was closed in Nov 2011 for renovation and restoration of the two downstairs rooms of the original house. The carpet and ceiling tile were removed, the walls painted and the floor resurfaced and sealed. The furniture was moved back the third week of June 2012 and new displays were being prepared and set up.
