Ferrol P. Dillon, 80

Ferrol Patricia Patterson Dillon, the former Ferrol Patricia Adams, passed away on June 26,1999.

She was the daughter of Maude and Harry W. Adams of Missouri Valley.

Ferrol was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, on November 17, 1918, but soon after came with her parents to live in Missouri Valley.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Northern Iowa, where she met and married Wesley E. Patterson (now deceased) and had three children.

Ferrol later earned a Master's Degree in Stringed Instruments from North Texas State University. She taught music in Missouri Valley and four Dallas schools.

After retirement, she and her husband, Jerry Dillon (now deceased), moved to Tucson, AZ, where she formed, taught and directed an instrumental music group of approximately 50 members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Wesley E. Patterson and Jerry Dillon, and one son, Lindon.

Mrs. Dillon is survived by two sisters and their husbands, Junne (Mrs. W. J. Chambers) of Williamsburg, VA, and Shannon, (Mrs. P. E. Pence) of Dallas, TX.

She is also survived by two daughters and their husbands: Paige, (Mrs. Jay E. Hamernick) of St. Paul, MN, three grandchildren, and seven great- grandchildren, and Shannon (Mrs. Michael Reilly) of Tucson, AZ and six grandchildren.
