Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Episcopal Church for
Mrs. James (Muriel B.) Tracy, 79, 108 Laurel St.
Mrs. Tracy died at 1150 p.m. Thursday at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, of
complications from burns suffered Feb. 2, 1978 and a heart condition.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will
be in Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Arrangements are in charge of the Riley
Funeral Home.
A daughter of Boyd B. and Alma Collins Bryson, she was born Sept. 29,
1898, in Iowa Falls. She had resided here since 1943. Her marriage took
place Oct. 4, 1922, in Ames.
Mrs. Tracy, a member of the Trinity church, was active in Church Women
United, Iowa Diocesan Episcopal Women, United Nations Association, World
Federalists, League of Women Voters, Committee for a More Effective
Congress, Trinity Guild of Muscatine Parish and was an avid supporter of
the Musser Public Library. She received her bachelor of arts degree from
Coe College and a Masters from the University of Iowa.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Berry B. Tracy, Goshen, N. Y.; one
daughter, Mrs. Delbert S. (Zoe T.) Hardy f Aravado, Colo.; and one
granddaughter.

Muscatine, Iowa - Services for Muriel B. Tracy, 79, Muscatine, will be 10

Mrs. Tracy died Thursday at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, from burns suffered
in a fire at her home Feb. 2.
Murial Bryson married James B. Tracy in 1922 in Ames.
She received her B.A. degree from Coe College, graduating in 1922. She
also held a masters degree in English from the University of Iowa.
She was a member of the Church Women United, the Iowa Diocesan Episcopal
Women, the United Nations Assoc., World Federalist, League of Women
Voters, Committee for a More Effective Congress, and the Trinity Guild of
Muscatine Parish. She was an avid supporter of the Muscatine Public
Library.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Delbert (Zoe T.) Hardy,
Arvado, Colo.; a son, Berry B., Goshen, N. Y., and a granddaughter.
