The memorial service for Harvey G. Johnson, 71, of 1200 E. College Ave.,
Normal, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Park Hill Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel,
Bloomington. The Rev. Philip Kauffman will officiate. Burial will be at
Park Hill. He was cremated. There will be no visitation. East Lawn Funeral
Home, Bloomington, has charge of arrangements.
He died at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 3, 2000) at OSF St. Joseph Medical
Center, Bloomington.
Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.
He was born Dec. 19, 1928, in South Dakota, the son of Harold and Kathryn
Johnson. He married Joan Garth on July 18, 1954 at Thornton, Iowa. She
died Oct.13 1982.
Mr. Johnson worked as a maintenance employee at Illinois Wesleyan
University before retiring in 1985. He was a member of Christ Lutheran
Church in Normal.
