Clarence Albert Larsen

Services held for C. A. Larsen, 81

Clarence Albert Larsen, 81, Klemme, passed away Friday evening, July 27, at St. Joseph's Mercy hospital, Mason City.

Funeral services were held from the United Methodist church, Klemme, at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, with the Rev. Donald L. Campbell officiating. The music was supplied by Mrs. Noel Katter, organist, and duet of Bill Renner and Tom Renner, who used the hymns, "Take My Hand, Precious Lord," and, "My God and I." The pallbearers were; Lyle Waddingham, LuVerne Josten, Tom Bosworth, Merle Frohling, Roy Arnold, and Bill Arnold. Interment took place in the Klemme cemetery. The William-Andrew Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Larsen was born in Klemme March 29, 1892, the son of Jens Peter and Caroline (Renziehasen) Larsen. Clarence fondly remembered as "Sam" by his family and friends married Rosa Mae Yahnke September 8, 1915 in Klemme.

To this union were born four children; LaVohn Caroline (Isvik) of Omaha, Nebraska; Arthur Albert (deceased); Eunice Erdene (Denmark) of Northbrook, Illinois and Clarence J. of Klemme.

Clarence, who lived his entire life in Klemme, was baptized in the United Methodist church in early childhood and continued to be active in the church all his life. He was also a widely-known business man and remained involved and interested until the very last days of his illness.

Mr. Larsen is survived by his wife, Rosa; three children, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as many friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
