- Irving E. Missman, Lanark, Passes Away
Lanark - Irving E. Missman, 74, passed away at 3:15 p.m., Monday in his
home in Lanark where he resided for thee past three years. He had taught
school in Iowa for many years before moving to Rockford where he was an
instructor at the Rockford Business College for six years.
The deceased was born June 18, 1877 in Franklin County, Iowa, the son of
Herman and Minnie Specht Missman.
He is survived by his wife, whom he married on Nov. 27, 1958, and three
daughters, Mrs. William (Alice) Renick and Mrs. Tony (Ruth) Jesmore, both
of Kansas City, and Mrs. Dean (Golda) Aden, Denver, Colo. There are also
two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Ostrander, Britt, Iowa, and Mrs. Carol Foley,
Hale, Idaho.
Also among the survivors are the following step-children, Gordon Carlson,
Rockford, Leon Wallace, Woodstock, Iowa, Mrs. Francis (Margery) Buell,
Camel, Cal., and Mrs. Walter (Evelyn) Nehrkorn, Lanark.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Lanark
Methodist Church, where he was an active member, with the pastor, Rev.
William Johnson, officiating. Burial will be in the Scandinavian Cemetery,
Rockford. There will be visitation at the Frank Funeral Home, Lanark, from
7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
