- Word Received Here Of The Passing Of Miss Laura
Panzlau
Will Be Remembered By Garner Friends - Funeral Service Held Today
Mrs. William Strate received a letter the last of the week from Mrs. A. C.
Panzlau, Appleton, Wis., telling of the death of their daughter, Miss
Laura.
Word had been previously received by local friends that Miss Panzlau was a
sufferer from tuberculosis and her death, although bringing sadness to the
hearts of those friends, was not unexpected.
Deceased was a daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. A. C. Panzlau, the former
having served as pastor of Grace Methodist church several years ago and
just prior to the time that the Rev. A. W. Gauger, now stationed at
Klemme, served the local congregation.
In her letter to Mrs. Strate, Mrs. Panzlau states that the daughter passed
away Thursday morning at 3 o'clock and that funeral services would not be
held until today pending the arrival of their daughter, Selma, and her
husband from Shreveport, La.
The mother's closing words were: "It is hard and we will miss her, but she
suffered so, and is relieved to be with Jesus and awaits our coming, and
it will not be long and I will be with her."
Deceased leaves to mourn her passing, her parents, three sisters and one
brother.
