Services for Ellen L. Pearson, 78, Klemme, who died Sunday, May 23, 1993
at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, were held Wednesday, May 26, 10:30 a.m.
at the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme with Rev. Don
Walters officiating.
Music was provided by organist, Lynette Nuehring.
Casket bearers were Jerry Pearson, Kevin Pearson, Kirk Pearson, Kent
Pearson, Bill Olson, Karl DeWahl and Chris A. Shulz.
Burial was at Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme with Tenold Funeral Homes in
charge of arrangements.
Ellen Lydia Pearson, the daughter of Carl E. and Lillie (Bates) Pearson,
was born June 27, 1915 at Albia. She was confirmed in the Immanuel
Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme.
She received her B.S. degree from Drake University and taught country
school, and taught at Miller, Meservey, Garner and most of her years in
the Belmond Schools.
Lydia was a member of the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in
Klemme and the General Federation of Potpourri Women's Club.
She is survived by two brothers, Carl Pearson and his wife, Deloris, and
Herbert Pearson and his wife, Jean, all of Klemme; a sister-in-law, Louise
Pearson of Klemme; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Francis and
Melvin.
