Funeral services were held at Terril, Iowa, Wednesday, for James Taylor
Schar, 3804 E. 25th St., who died in a hunting accident in Iowa
Sunday.
Schar. 33. was killed when his gun accidentally discharged while crossing
a fence on the Leo Janssen farm near Wallingford, Iowa, six miles south of
Estherville, Iowa.
Mr. Schar was born at Mason City, Iowa, Nov. 20, 1939. He grew up at Bode
and Eagle Grove, Iowa. After serving in the Navy for four
years, he taught industrial arts at Klemme, Iowa, and was a guidance
counselor at George, Iowa. He married Dixie Janssen at Terril on
Aug 27, 1966.
Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Emily and Sarah; his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. James Wendell Schar, Clarion, Iowa; a brother, Thomas Taylor
Schar, Clarion, and a foster grandmother, Alice Schar, Storm Lake.
Interment was in Fairview Cemetery at Terril.
