Edna C. Scharlach, 76, a former Corwith and Algona area resident, died Wednesday, May 21, at Oak Park Hospital in Stockton, Calif. Services were held Saturday at Tracy, Calif., with burial there also.

Edna Scharlach was born Dec. 23, 1898 at Cissna Park, Ill. She graduated from Corwith High in 1918 and from Iowa State College. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church, a member of the National Photographic Society, Order of Eastern Star, Arts Club of Washington D.C. where she was employed for many years with the Veterans Administration.

Two brothers and three sisters survive; Clarence D. Scharlach, Mrs. Helen May and Mrs. Stella Cooper, all of Tracy, Calif., Vincent Scharlach, Oklahoma City and Geneva, Mrs. William Hilton of Algona. Her parents, a brother and sister are deceased.
