Services for Jennie (Albers) Thiemann, 76, Klemme, who died Tuesday, June
27, 1989 at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, were held Friday, June 30, 10
a.m. at the United Church of Christ in Klemme with the Rev. Don Walters
officiating.
Music was provided by Lynette Nuehring, organist, who accompanied the
congregation and the duet of Ione Beier and Alice Brinkman.
Casketbearers were Ron Tenhagen, Steven Albers, Kent Pearson, Silas
Fatland, Karl Dewahl and Randy Lutz.
Burial was at the Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme with Tenold Funeral
Homes in charge of arrangements.
Jennie Thiemann, the daughter of Lubbe and Gretchen (Dickhuis) Albers, was
born June 27, 1913, rural Klemme. She attended country school.
January 25, 1934, she married Alvin Thiemann at her parents home east of
Klemme. She worked at the mouse trap factory in Klemme for several years
and later worked as a cook in the Klemme school system for many years, and
later worked in restaurants in the area until retirement.
Jennie was a member of the UCC Church, Womens Fellowship, bowled for many
years, was a member of Senior Citizens and the Over 55 Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Delores) DeLawyer of Bosie,
ID, and Eva Hanson of Alexander and her friend Merle Fiedler; two sons,
Donald and his wife, Judith of Holdrege, NE, and Robert and his wife,
LaVerna of Shawnee, OK; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Johanna Foss of Goodell and Louise Pearson of Klemme; and one
brother, John Albers of Ventura.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alvin, sister Marie and
brother Harold.

Jennie Albers Thiemann, 76, of Klemme died Tuesday, June 27, 1989 at St.
Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mason City of natural causes.
Funeral services were held Friday at the United Church of Christ with the
Rev. Don Walters officiating.
Providing special music were Mrs. Lynette Nuehring, organist, and Mrs.
Ione Beier and Mrs. Alice Brinkman, who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and
"In The Garden." The congregational hymns were "Nearer My God to Thee" and
"How Great Thou Art."
Casketbearers were Ron Tenhagen, Kent Pearson, Karl Dewahl, Steven Albers,
Silas Fatland and Randy Lutz.
Tenold Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements and burial was at
the Ell Township Cemetery.
Mrs. Thiemann was born June 27, 1913 in rural Klemme to Lubbe and Gretchen
(Dickhuis) Albers. She attended rural schools near Klemme.
On Jan. 25, 1934, she was married to Alvin Thiemann at her parents home
east of Klemme. After their marriage she worked at the mouse trap factory
in Klemme. Later she worked as a cook for the Klemme school system, then
cooked for several restaurants in the area.
She was a lifetime member of the United Church of Christ, member of the
Women's Fellowship, served as secretary of the Senior Citizens Club and
was a member of the Over 55 Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Delores) DeLauyer, Bosie,
Idaho and Eva Hansen, Alexander; two sons, Donald of Hold Ridge, Neb., and
Robert, Shawnee, OK; two sisters, Johanna Foss, Goodell, and Louise
Pearson, Klemme; one brother, John Albers, Ventura; 14 grandchildren; and
13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one
sister.
