Iowa Falls - Services for Robert Allan Wiseman, 57, of Iowa Falls will be
held at First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls Wednesday at 2:30
p.m.. with Dr. Mark Lieder officiating. He died Sunday, Jan. 2, 1994 at
home. Linns Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Nov. 7, 1936 at Estherville, the son of Cecil and Mildred (Barrell)
Wiseman and attended Estherville schools graduating from high school in
1954. He attended Estherville Junior College, University of South Dakota
earning his BA degree and Northeast Missouri State where he received his
MA degree. He did Advanced Studies at the University of Montana and Iowa
State University. On Aug 8, 1959 he was united in marriage with Sharon
Thorson at Elk Point, SD. He was High school principal at Iowa Falls from
1973-89 and Administrative Assistant to Superintendent from 1898-91 when
he retired. Previous to his Iowa Falls employment he had been principal at
Sac City, Klemme and Toledo Schools.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church; Lions Club, Past
President at Sac City; he had also coached IFHS cross-country girls team
four years.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Iowa Falls; sons Curtis of
Oskaloosa, Douglas of Iowa Falls and Matthew of Des Moines; one grandson;
his mother, Mildred Wiseman, sister Judy Bixby and brother Jerry Wiseman
all of Estherville.
He was preceded in death by his father.

- Iowa Falls - Robert A. Wiseman, 57, of Iowa Falls,
died at home Sunday, Jan. 2, after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon K.; three sons, Curtis of Oskaloosa,
Douglas of Iowa Falls and Matthew of Des Moines; a grandson; his mother,
Mildred Wiseman of Estherville; he was preceded in death by his father,
Cecil Wiseman.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church,
Iowa Falls; there will be no visitation; memorials may be directed to the
family at Rout 3, Box 119a, Iowa Falls 50126.
Mr. Wiseman received his master's degree from Northeast Missouri State in
1966 and took advanced studies at the University of Montana and Iowa State
University; he attended Estherville Junior College and thee University of
South Dakota, receiving a bachelor of arts degree in 1959; he was a
teacher and coach at Tama schools from 1960-65, principal at Klemme from
1966-69, principal at Sac City from 1969-73, principal at Iowa Falls High
School from 1973-89 and administrative assistant to the superintendent
until 1991, when he retired; he also coached girls cross country for four
years at Iowa Falls.
