Elsina Lauster

1911 - 1990

 

Clear Lake - Mrs. Elsina Lauster, 78, 407 Orchard Lane, died Saturday (Aug. 25, 1990) at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Congregational Church in Clear Lake, with the Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Mrs. Lauster was born Sept. 12, 1911, in rural Klemme, the daughter of George and Wina (Wientijes) Albers, Sr. She attended school at Klemme, graduating from Klemme High School in 1930. She worked at a grocery store in Klemme.

On Aug. 11, 1936, she was married to Walter Lauster at the United Church of Christ in Klemme. They farmed four miles north of Meservey, moving into Clear Lake in 1972.

She loved sewing, quilting and cooking. She was baptized and confirmed in the Klemme United Church of Christ, belonged to the First Congregational Church at Clear Lake and the Sunshine Club.

Visitation is after 3 p.m. today at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth, Clear Lake. Memorials may be given in her name.

Survivors include her husband, Walter; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Duane Sindt, Waukee; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Pringnitz and Winnie Buss, both of Klemme, and Mrs. Reuben (Helen) Cornelius, Joice; one brother, Lubbe Albers, Clear Lake; one grandson and his wife, Robert and Beth Sindt, West Des Moines; and one granddaughter, Sandra Sindt, Waukee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister
