Services for Mrs. Dorothy Noble, 80, of Garner, who died Wednesday, June 10, 1992 at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Britt, were held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 13, at the United Methodist Church in Garner with Rev. Robert Ellis as officiant.

Mrs. Richard Johnson, organist, accompanied soloist, Alfred Merten. Vern Butz served as an usher.

Honorary bearers were James Ausborn, John Ausborn, Walter Smith, Andrew Smith, Adam Noble, Merlyn Brown and Marty Morgan.

Active bearers were David Ausborn, Gary Ausborn, Tim Riherd, Dave Walk, Chad Cook and Shane Vossberg.

Burial was in Concord Township Cemetery in Garner. Visitation was held at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Dorothy Margaret Noble, the daughter of Albert and Dorothy (Mossel) Carolus, was born November 30, 1911 on a farm near Klemme. She graduated from Klemme High School in 1931.

July 4, 1932, she married Charles L. Noble at Garner. They moved to Garner where they lived the rest of their lives. Dorothy enjoyed her family, baby sitting, gardening, fishing, crocheting and helping others.

She is survived by her children, Mrs. Deloris Riherd and her husband, Thomas of Forest City, Mrs. Harriet Smith and her husband, Larry of Whittier, CA, Mrs. Corrine Ausborn and her husband, Donald of Klemme and Cecil Noble and his wife, Mary of Garner; 16 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Richard Carolus and his wife, Anna of Garner, Harold Carolus of Rockford, IL, Henry Carolus and his wife, Julane of Belmond, Mrs. Elsie TerHark of Belmond and Mrs. Grace Terhark of Clarion; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Emy Murphrey of Colorado Springs, CO; and two sisters-in-law, Esther Carolus of Clarion and Mrs. Julia Baumgartner of Garner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Noble in November of 1971; her son, William C. A. Noble, October 30, 1966; two grandsons, Randy Allen Rihers, April 29, 1981, and Lee Ausborn in 1959; a great-grandson, Robert Riherd in December of 1975; a sister, Mrs. Alice Lateer; and three brothers, Albert Carolus, Ralph Carolus and Fred Carolus.
