- Eloise Esther Kuhlers
Eloise Esther Kuhlers, 101, of Clarkesville, passed away Monday, Feb. 14,
2022.
Born Oct. 31, 1920, in Hancock County, Iowa, she was the eldest daughter
of the late Albert and Louise Etchen. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Elmer Kuhlers; brothers, Merle Etchen and Winton Etchen; and her
sister Darlene Fink.
Mrs. Kuhlers attended Immanuel Reformed U.C.C. in Klemme, Iowa for many
years. She and her husband farmed all their lives until moving to Ridge
Manor West, Florida in 1980 and then to Clarkesville in 2008. She enjoyed
baking and gardening and being with family.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Bill Thompson of
Clarkesville and their daughter and husband, Sara and David Ernst of
Atlanta; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Grace Kuhlers of
Clarkesville and their son, wife, and grandson, Matt, Gina Glenn, and
Mason Kuhlers of Marion, Virginia, and brothers; Delbert Etchen of Klemme,
Iowa and Elwyn and Carroll Etchen of Clear Lake, Iowa and their extended
families.
She will be reunited with her beloved husband, Elmer, at the Florida
National Cemetery.
