Marie E. Anderson, 77, of Mason City, died Tuesday, Feb. 14. 1995, at the North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 17, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ventura, with the Rev. Diard W. Korth officiating. Burial was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Marie Elva Anderson, was born Feb. 29, 1917, the daughter of Ben F. and Nettie Mabel (Griffen) Greiman, on a farm in Liberty Township, Hancock County. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace Reformed Church, south of Garner. Mari attended rural schools of Liberty Township and graduated from Klemme High School in 1934.

On Feb. 24, 1937, she married Dale Anderson at Mason City. They farmed southwest of Clear Lake until 1988, when they moved to Mason City. Marie enjoyed flower gardening, quilting, sewing, cooking and antiques. Her love for her family and interest in their activities was very important to Marie.

She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ventura and Dorcas Society. She was a former 4-H Leader for Daughter's of the Land.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Anderson, Mason City; two daughters, Virginia Ames and her husband, William. Rockwell and Dora Jean Mueller and her husband, Fredrich, Mason City; six grandchildren, Susan Adams, Rockwell, Patty Lane, Belmond, Pamela Haukoos, Lakeville, Minn., Kristi Hebel, Mason City, Brad Cronk and Linda Mueller, both of Coralville; four great-grandchildren, Nathan and Paul Adams and Kristen snd Anders Haukoos; her sisters and brother, Dorothy Wilson and her husband, George, Swaledale, Walter Greiman and his wife, Dorothy, Milan, Mo., Donna Finders and her husband, Richard, Glendale, Ariz., and Nels Flager, North Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters-in-law, Louise Q. Greiman, Garner and Ardisce Greiman, Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Danny Ames; a sister, Grace Greiman in infancy; and two brothers, Floyd Greiman and Verne Greiman.

Ushers were Wilbert Nuehring and Dorance Rosendahl.

Honorary pallbearers were Roger Neuberger, John Schwichtenberg, Wayne Toppin, Roy Schumacher, Michael Smith and Michael Carrot.

Pallbearers were Michael Adams, Jerry Lane, Peter Haukoos, Michael Hebel, Brad Cronk and David Greiman.
