Hazel Maude Jenison
April 6, 1923 - January 6, 2015

Hazel M. Jenison, 91, of Killeen, Texas, passed away January 6, 2015 at Hill Country Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Copperas Cove, Texas, where she had been lovingly cared for by dedicated staff for the past year.

She was born April 6, 1923, the fifth of six children of Leroy Ray and Zelda (Stuck) Harson in Rowan, Iowa. She and her husband Keith owned and operated Black Swan Antiques in Hiawatha, Iowa prior to retiring. Hazel moved to Texas in 1996 with her daughters so she could be close to all three of her children.

Hazel is survived by daughters, Georgia Hackbarth and Becky Jenison both of Killeen, Texas and son, Eldon Jenison of Copperas Cove, Texas, sister, Lois Pals of Frederick, Colorado and brother Bill Harson and his wife Arlene of Kanawha, Iowa, 13 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jenison was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Keith Jenison, brothers Merton Harson and Maurice Harson, sister Marlyce Davenport and grandsons Billy Dean McElfish and Randy McElfish.

The family is planning a gathering at a later date in Iowa.
