Marcella Marie Sharp
January 17, 1940 - October 19, 2017
Marcella Marie Sharp, 77, of Roscommon, Michigan, formerly of Marion, passed
away peacefully Thursday, October 19, 2017, at her home. The family will greet
friends from 4pm – 8pm on Friday, October 27, 2017, at Murdoch Funeral Home &
Cremation Service, Marion and 1 hour prior to Funeral Service on Saturday.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the
funeral home. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Marcella is survived by her children, Harriet (Michael) Hansen of Roscommon,
Michigan and Nadine Meyer of Mount Prospect, Illinois; 3 grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; and siblings, Eldon (Tina) Nuehring of Milton, Florida, and
Karen Dahlin, of Jacksonville, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Garth Holscher and Eugene
Sharp; and daughter, Debbie Sue Meyer.
Marcella was born January 17, 1940, in Kanawha, Iowa, the daughter of Erwin and
Marie (Meinders) Nuehring. She graduated from Klemme High School and attended
Waldorf College.
Marcella married Herman Meyer in 1962 and they
later divorced in 1981. On June 22, 1984, she was united in marriage to Garth
Holscher. He passed away in 1986. In June of 1990, Marcella married Eugene
Sharp, he passed away in 1995. She was a member of First United Methodist Church
in Marion and most recently Good Shephard United Methodist Church of Roscommon,
Michigan.
