Douglas Joseph Roul
August 17, 1940 - August 13, 2022

Douglas Joseph Roul was born August 17, 1940 and passed away on August 13, 2022.

Doug was very proud to have served his country in the United States Navy, taking an extra stint in the Antarctic. He took pride in his yard, enjoyed bowling and Cutty’s camping. He was a member of the V.F.W., the Masonic Lodge and Windsor United Methodist Church.

His greatest joy was his family, wife of 45 years, his four children and 10 grandchildren. He worked hard, provided well and wanted the best for each member.

Doug is survived by his wife Jane (Reynolds) Roul, their four children Kurt (Robin) Roul, Chandler, AZ. Stephanie (Jon) Stewart, Cumming, IA. Reagan (Derek) Taylor, Johnston, IA. Kayce (Chris) Culbertson, Johnston, IA. Grandchildren, Ashley, Quintin, Onalee, Tristan, Dylan, Brody, Everett, Savanna, Tessa, Miles and sisters Darlene (Dwayne) Hansen and Dorothy Roul.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Windsor United Methodist Church, Des Moines, Iowa. A gathering with the family will follow the service. Burial will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Windsor United Methodist Church, or a charity of your choice.
