Norman Sampson

1919 - 1952

Sampson Rites On Saturday

Services for Norman Sampson, 33, of 2436 Garfield Ave., will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hamilton funeral home, with burial in Glendale cemetery. Mr. Sampson operator of the Eastown Tavern, died of a heart ailment Wednesday at his home. He had been ill since Sept. 2.

A native of Klemme, Mr. Sampson had been a Des Moines resident 19 years. He also was employed at the Potthoff and Rozene Plumbing and Heating Co., and was a member of the Boline-Manfredi post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are his widow Lula; a daughter, Vicky Lou, 9 months; a step-daughter, Carol Ann, 9; a step-son, Wayne James, 14; his mother, Mrs. Jennie Sampson of Des Moines; a sister, Irma Sampson of Des Moines; and a brother, Paul of Forest Park, Ill.
