William Henry Sandrey

William Sandrey rites at Klemme

William H. Sandrey, 47, died Thursday, June 28, at the Hancock County Memorial hospital, Britt. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 2, at the Klemme Methodist church, with the Rev. James Albertson officiating.

Comfort in music was sung by Mrs. Roy Arnold and Mrs. Clay Kilgore, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Schulz, organist. They sang "Going Down the Valley" and "Good Night and Good Morning."

Burial was made in Ell township cemetery, with Osman Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Mervin Barkema, Rudolf Endorf, Larry Lange, Merle Schoenwetter, Albert Kraus and John Watne.

Born January 13, 1915, on a farm southwest of Klemme, he was the son of Frank and Katherine Bussee Sandrey. He was graduated from Klemme high school and attended Hamilton College, Mason City. He served in the Air Force during World War II.

Surviving are his mother, four sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Ada) Janssen, Goodell; Mrs. Ervin (Katherine) Dihlmann, Mason City; Mrs. Walter (Frances) Markel, Grand Meadow, Minn; Mrs. Walter (Ethel) Unger, LaMesa, Calif, and a brother, Wilson, San Leandro, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father. and a sister.
