Mable Viola Lassahn

1917 - 2008

 
Services Held For Mable Lassahn, 91

Mable Viola Lassahn, 91, formerly of Klemme and most recently a resident of the Good Samaritan Center of Idaho Falls, died on April 18, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center.

Services were held on May 16, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Klemme with Rev. Paddy Druhl officiating. Private burial was held in the Ell Township Cemetery.

Mable was born February 16, 1917, in Twin Lakes Township of Hancock County. She was the second daughter of Fred Schlichting and Clara Ludeke Schlichting. Mable attended schools in this area and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

On Nov. 22, 1939, she married Harold Paul Lassahn in Albert Lea. The couple farmed near Klemme and were divorced in 1946. She then lived in Klemme and cared for her parents until they died. Mable loved animals and fed the squirrels outside the family home.

In 1990, she moved to Idaho Falls. She lived for a time in Mackay, Idaho, before returning to Idaho Falls.

Survivors include her sister, Gladys Huckins of Mason City; a son Gordon (Pam) Lassahn, Idaho Falls; five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Joyce Schlagel (Robert); and a son, Terry (Naomi).

Arrangements were made by the Andrews Funeral Home.
