Mabel E. Dunmire
June 4, 1912 - 17 July 2001

Clearwater, FL - Mabel Eda Dunmire, 89, died July 17 (2001), at Clearwater, FL where she was visiting her daughter.

Funeral service for her was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the United Methodist Church at Titonka with the Rev. Timm Wilkin officiating. Burial was in the Buffalo Township Cemetery at Titonka, the Garry-Roerts-Murphy-Schaff Funeral Home of Titonka in charge of arrangements.

Grandchildren were casket bearers.

Mabel Eda Schuldt, daughter of Herman Joachim and Emelia Haupt Schuldt was born June 4, 1912, in rural Klemme. She graduated from Klemme High School in 1929, then attended Cedar Falls teachers College from where she graduated in 1945.

Mabel was married to Ted Dunmire Sept. 2, 1948, at Columbia, MO. She taught school more than 25 years in Corwith, Forest City, Titonka, Rockwell City and rural schools in Hancock County.

Mabel was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Titonka Federated Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to garden, read, enjoyed music, sports and traveling. She spent the winters with her daughter at Top of the World, Clearwater, FL.

She is survived by one daughter and three step-daughters, Thea Dunmire and her husband, Steve Fogarty, Clearwater, FL; Kathryn Sexton, Titonka; Dorothy and Don Dallman, Britt and Carol Kohls, Minnetonka, MN; a sister-in-law, Esther Schuldt, Mentor, OH; numerous step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren.

Her husband, parents, a brother, Paul Schuldt and two step sons-in-law, Wilbur Sexton and Henry Kohls preceded her in death.

Mabel E. Dunmire, 89, of Clearwater, died Tuesday (July 17, 2001) at Mariner Health Care of Clearwater.

She was born in Klemme, Iowa, and was a winter resident at On Top of the World for many years.

She was a teacher for more than 25 years in Iowa.

Survivors include a daughter, Thea Dunmire, Clearwater.

Oak Crest Funeral Services, Algona, Iowa.
