Services For Scott Whitt Held January 10
The funeral service of Scott Richard Whitt, 16, was conducted at the United
Methodist Church in Klemme on Monday, January 10.
Scott died January 7, at Mercy Hospital in Mason City as a result of
injuries he sustained in a car-snowmobile accident.
He was a freshman at Klemme High School.
Rev. Merlin Petersen of Garner officiated at the 1:30 p.m. service. Doris
Petersen was organist. A selection was sung by the Klemme High School Class
of 1980 and a duet was given by Michelle Lemke and Jody Beier.
Pallbearers include Jim Ausborn, Dan Manus, Dean White, John Ausborn,
Vincent Baack and Norman Bruggeman.
Scott was born August 19, 1960, in Mason City, the son of Gale and Nancy
(Pierce) Whitt.
He previously attended school in Clear Lake and Forest City. Scott was a
member of the Junior varsity football squad at Klemme High.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Gale and Rosanne Whitt, his
mother, Nancy LaFon, three sisters, Pamela, Shelly and Jodi, grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Pierce of Clear Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Whitt of
Mason City, also two great-grandmothers, Mrs. Ethel Whitt of Mason City and
Mrs. Bertha Pierce of Clear Lake.
Andrew-Quesenberry Funeral Home made arrangements.
Burial was in the Klemme Cemetery.
