$10 Fine In Fatal Collision

A young Owego area man has paid a $10 fine for failing to yield the right of way, in the aftermath of an accident Saturday that left one person dead and six injured.

Mr. Hartman turned into the path of a southbound car carrying a Johnson City family of four and three of their relatives, here on a visit.

A 64 year old man in the second car, William T. Brietske of Waterloo, Iowa, was killed as the cars collided.

Mr. Brietske's son-in-law, Clarence A. Phillips, 25, of 16 Avenue A, Johnson City, who was driving, was injured.

He, his wife, their two small sons, his sister-in-law and her infant son all were admitted to Wilson Memorial Hospital where they were reported in fair condition.
