(1935-2013)

Fayette — Lois Ann Corkery, 77, of Fayette, died Monday, Feb. 25, at Maple Crest Manor, Fayette, following a sudden illness.

She was born March 12, 1935, in Fayette, daughter of Harry and Anna Riley Corkery.

Ms. Corkery graduated from Fayette High School and Upper Iowa University, then taught kindergarten for many years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Fayette.

Survived by: two brothers, James (Janis) Corkery of Independence and John (Mrynie) Corkery of Elk River, Minn.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Margaret Cain; and two brothers, Eugene and Lowell Corkery.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, with burial in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, both in Fayette. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Becker-Milnes Funeral Home, Fayette, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 6 p.m. scripture service.
Visitation also an hour before services Thursday at the church.
