Mrs. Georga Louise Muenchow

Arcadia - Mrs. Georga Louise Muenchow, 72, of Arcadia died at the St. Anthony Regional Hospital Thursday evening, Sept. 16. She had been a resident of the Carroll Health Center for the past 5 1/2 years.

Mass of the resurrection will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the St. John's Catholic Church in Arcadia with the Rev. Cletus Ahmann officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home of Manning.

Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning after 3 p.m. Friday. There will be a scriptural prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Muenchow was born May 17, 1904, at Redfield, Iowa, a daughter of George and Marguerite Conley Ford. She graduated from Redfield High School and taught in the Klemme and Arcadia schools. Her marriage to John F. Muenchow took place on August 20, 1935. They lived at Arcadia all their married life. Mrs. Muenchow served as postmistress there from 1935 to 1969. Her husband, who was a blacksmith there, died on Sept 22, 1973. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Arcadis.

Surviving are one son, Jon of Arcadia, one daughter, Josephie of St. Joseph, Mo.; one granddaughter; one sister, Mrs. Roger (Wilma) Williams of Redfield; four brothers, Percy of Pomeroy, Roger of Long Beach, Calif., Virgil of Belvidere, Ill., and Ruppert Ford of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
