Ruth J. Haugen

Ruth J. Haugen, 66, 7111 Fifth Ave., died Saturday morning (April 9, 1988) at her home.

The daughter of the late Charles and Tilla (Stein) Heinrich, she was born May 19, 1921, in Estherville, Iowa.

She graduated from Estherville High School, and received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Iowa and a master of arts degree in primary education from the University of Northern Colorado.

She came to Kenosha in 1966. She taught kindergarten at Forest Park Elementary School from 1966 until the time of her death.

She was a member of St. Mary's Lutheran Church, the Kenosha Education Association, the Wisconsin Education Association and the National Education Association.

Surviving are two sons, John C. and Mark D., both of Kenosha; a daughter, Janet M. Haugen, Cleveland Minn.; and two sisters, Mary Ann Cairns, Portland, Ore., and Eleanor Copeland, Dixon, Ill.

The Hanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She graduated from Estherville High School and received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Iowa and a master degree of arts in primary education from the University of Northern Colorado.

She is survived by two sons, John C. and Mark D., both of Kenosha; a daughter, Janet M. Haugen, Cleveland, Minn., and two sisters, Mary Ann Cairns, Portland, Ore., and Eleanor Copeland, Dixon, Ill.

Services were Wednesday in Kenosha. Burial will be today in Estherville, Iowa.
