Walter F. Lau

Rites at Klemme for Walter F. Lau

Funeral services for Walter F. Lau, 67, were held Friday, Dec. 20, at the Klemme Methodist Church with the Rev. J. E. Albertson officiating. Burial was in the Klemme Cemetery with the Johnston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born at Klemme on August 4, 1896, he was the son of August and Anna Boehm Lau. He was in the grain elevator business for many years, later working for the Wilson Packing Company at Albert Lea, Minn., for 12 years. He passed away December 17, at the hospital in Iowa City where he had been a patient for four weeks.

Surviving are three children: Elyse Tippey, Fontana, Calif.; W. Jean Sweett, Bakersfield, Calif., and Larry F. Lau, Santa Barbara, Calif. Two brothers, Henry C. Lau, Tracy, Minn., and August G. Lau, Garner; and two sisters, Mrs. Malinda Schuldt of Sacramento, Calif., and Minnie L. Lau, Klemme, also survive.
