Donald M. Lewis

Donald Lewis rites Thursday

Graveside services for Donald M. Lewis 88, former Fairfield resident, who died Sunday at Heritage Hills Nursing Home in McAlester, Okla., will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Connor officiating. Friends may call at Behner Funeral Home beginning at noon Wednesday.

Lewis was born March 19, 1898 in Corning, the son of Albert and Jennie Donaldson Lewis. He married Mildred Hoffman May 24, 1930. She died July 18, 1933. A brother and a sister also preceded him in death.

Surviving are a son, John of Auburn, Calif.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Helen Gibson of Waterloo, Glenna Hoskinson of Corning; three brothers, Arthur of Lubbock, Texas, Dwight of Richmond, Va., Robert of Hotchkiss, Colo.

Lewis was employed in the civil service for the U. S. Treasury until he retired in 1968. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Masonic Lodge in Corning.
