Services for Winifred R. Finnicum, 90, Newton, formerly of Klemme, who died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 1994 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton, were held Saturday, Feb. 12, 10:30 a.m., at Reese Chapel with the Rev. Matthew Martens, pastor of the First Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial was at the Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme.

Winifred R. Finnicum was born May 17, 1903 in Cerro Gordo County. She sold Avon products and Farm Journal magazines in Gowrie and Klemme.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Martha Circle, Dorcas Sewing Circle, Jasper County Senior Citizens and the Salvation Army Golden Agers.

She is survived by a son, Dean Merkel of Independence, MO; a daughter, Corrine Dolder of Newton; six grandchildren; a brother Dick Glanville of Banning, CA; and three sisters, Byrde Nelson of Seattle, WA, Doris Odegard of San Bernardino, CA, and Wilda Adair of Brainerd, MN.
