Deloris Ober

Newton - Deloris Irene Ober, 64, of Newton died of a heart ailment Monday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Congregational United Church of Christ in Newton. Burial will be at a later date at North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge.

Mrs. Ober was born in Fort Dodge and had lived in Newton since 1967. She was a retired teacher with the Newton school system and a Girl Scout Leader. She had been a daily vacation Bible school teacher in Littler Eagle Indian Reservation in South Dakota and was a volunteer with several organizations in Newton.

She is survived by her husband, Milford; three daughters, Paula Waddle, Darla Tuinstra and Ardis Coady, all of Newton; a sister, Karin Ayers of Minneapolis; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to the time of services Saturday at the church. Pence Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.
