Ulmont K. Reese

1897 - 1959

 
Ulmont Reese, Ex-Lakotan, Died Recently

Lakota - Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Smith received word of the death of Ulmont Reese of Des Moines. He died Sept. 8.
 
As a young boy he lived on the farm now owned by the Vernon Smiths. He graduated from the Lakota (Germania) schools about 1913 and shortly thereafter moved with his father to Cedar Falls where he finished his education.
 
At the time of his death he was employed at the State Rehabilitation Center in Des Moines.

He is survived by his wife, three children and two sisters, Ruby of Sioux City and Beulah (Mrs. Rugg) of Cedar Falls.

U. K. Reese

U. K. Reese who served on the Cedar Rapids division of the staff of the Iowa State Vocational Rehabilitation Service several years, died at Des Moines Tuesday. His wife survives.

Graveside services: Cedar memorial at 2:30 Thursday. Services will be conducted in Des Moines Thursday morning.

U. K. Reese

U. K. Reese, former district supervisor of Vocational Rehabilitation in Waterloo for five years prior to 1954, died of a stroke Tuesday in Methodist hospital in Des Moines.

Reese left Waterloo five years ago to become assistant state director of the Vocational Rehabilitation Division, a position he held until his death.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Russell Rugg of 1923 Clay St., Cedar Falls, who is employed by the Black Hawk County Welfare Department.
