George Thiemann

Services were conducted for George Thiemann, who died July 29, Friday, July 31, at the United Church of Christ, Klemme. Rev. Julius Rechtermann conducted the service. Organist was Mrs. Joyce TenHaken. Casket bearers were Allan W. Barz, Ray Wille, Darwin Wille, Earl Nuehring, Eldon Hagen, and Robert Schulz.

George Thiemann, the son of Henry, Sr. and Elsia Duhm Thieman, was born in New Knoxville, Ohio, January 15, 1881 [1889]. The family moved to Iowa in 1901 and resided in Klemme for six years, then moved to Missouri for two years.

Mr. Thiemann attended the local schools and was a member of Immanuel Evangelical church, which he served in various offices.

He married Erma Born December 9, 1914, and they settled on the Thiemann farm. They retired to Klemme in 1944. He worked at service stations and drove school bus for the school district.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Elsie) Murray of Klemme and Mrs. Stella Beiber of Marion, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
